Q: Do you require a deposit to rent a vehicle?
A: . Yes. Your deposit type, amount and method of payment will vary by vehicle and location.

Q: Credit and Debit Card Rules
A: Generally, at the time of rental, we'll require a credit card hold of 125 % of the total estimated rental charges. It's perfectly fine if you choose not to return the car on or before your scheduled return date, but we will place up to three additional holds on your card (depending on how long you keep the car) to cover expected rental charges. Upon your return of the car, all holds will be released, and the actual cost of the rental will be charged. Please note that your bank may take up to two weeks to post the released credit hold to your card. For full details, read the helpful terms and conditions.

Q: Can I pay with cash?
A: Budget will accept cash at time return if you choose not to have the rental billed to your credit card.

Q: Which credit, charge and debit cards do you accept?
A: We accept American Express, Budget Charge Card, Budget International, MasterCard and Visa.

Q: Can I use another person's credit card with their permission?
A: No. At the time of rental, the renter is required to present a valid driver's license or passport and credit card with his/her name imprinted on it.

Q: Will my credit/debit card be charged when I make the reservation?
A: We do not charge your Credit card at the time you book a self drive reservations, however the card will have a hold placed on it at the time of pickup.

Q: Does my own insurance protect me in the event of an accident?
A: Given the vast number of insurers and policies, it is extremely difficult for us to know which entitlements accompany your given policy. We strongly recommend that you contact your insurance company to verify your coverage’s before renting a car. In the event you do not have proper protection, Budget sells a variety of protection coverage’s for your rental.

Q: Should I purchase coverage for my Budget vehicle from a travel package Web site?
A: Many companies that sell online travel packages (airline, rental cars and hotels) offer insurance protections that claim to cover rental cars. Before purchasing, always check your personal insurance first to see if you're covered for damage to a rental car, and whether your policy completely protects you. If you have rental car coverage through your personal insurance or charge card, you might not need the coverage that online travel package companies offer you. In any event - your personal insurance or some of those packages might not protect you entirely for any loss or damage to the rental vehicle. Remember - if the insurance doesn't cover your loss, you will remain personally responsible for any difference!

Q: Do you offer insurance replacement while the car I own is being serviced?

Q: What happens if I don't return my car on the designated return date?
A: If the car isn't returned on or before the due date, Budget will obtain additional card hold authorizations to cover expected rental charges.

Q: What should I do if I have problems with my car?
A: Your driver is trained in policy and procedure if an issue with your car should arise. Budget has an extensive network of roadside assistance and our customer service team will work to ensure that you get back on the road as quickly as possible.

Q: How can I get a copy of my receipt or rental agreement from my recent rental?
A: Please gather the following information: spelling of full name of renter, mailing address and/or fax number where you want receipt to be sent, dates of rental pick-up and return locations of rental either credit card number used to secure reservation, the rental agreement number, or the reservation confirmation number. Then call (84-8) 930 2929 or (+84) 973 0066 39 (Mobile) to request a copy of your rental agreement/receipt to be faxed or mailed to you. Your receipt will be faxed or mailed to you in 24 hours.

Q: Does Budget have a Lost & Found department?
A: Each year the Budget team finds hundreds of cell phones, CDs, sunglasses and other personal items our vehicles, and in our rental locations. If you've left a personal item behind, please be sure to call that same Budget location at the phone number listed on your rental agreement or find your location phone number. We highly recommend that you report your lost item at your earliest convenience. While we can’t promise its return, we’ll do our best to find it.

Q: Do I have to pay in advance for a chauffeur drive reservation?
A: No, a hold on your credit card will be obtained upon your arrival in Vietnam for approximately 125% of your scheduled rental charges. Upon the completion of your rental, your credit card will be charged the actual total. If you elect to pay in cash, no charges will be made to your credit card and we will immediately cancel the hold on your credit card. The payment can be made with a Visa, MasterCard or American Express card.

A: The cars depicted in the website are typical of the car you will be provided however similar makes or models may be supplied.

Q: Will my driver speak English?
A: Yes, all of the Budget drivers can speak and understand English. If you encounter any communication problems, you can use you're the mobile phone provided by Budget to speak with one of our customer service agents or a managers that is pre-programmed into your phone.

Q: How will I find my driver?
A: If you are being picked up at an airport where Budget does not have an in-terminal counter, your driver or a customer service agent will be waiting outside the exit door and will display a reservation board with your name clearly marked. Make your arrival known to the driver or customer service agent and he or she will take charge of your bags and escort you to the car or bring the car up to the curb. If an office, hotel or home pick-up, your driver will announce his arrival to you by phone.

Q: What is included in the rental quote?
A: Our chauffeur driven rates include 8 continual hours of service and 100 km of travel. Our rates also include fuel up to 100 km, full insurance on the car, cell phone, bottled water, 24 hour customer service support.

Q: What is not included in the rental quote?
A: Service or any value added taxes, additional hours or kilometers, parking fees, airport concession fees, tolls or interstate fees are not included. Your driver can pay any parking, tolls and interstate fees on your behalf and these will be added to your bill without any addition service charges. Additional services such as World-class drives and overnight fees are also not included.

Q: How will I pay for the additional charges?
A: We will bill the same credit card you used for your reservation. The driver will never ask you for additional money.

Q: How will I get my final bill?
A: If your rental does not end at a rental station, we can mail, e-mail or fax your final charges you at home or at your hotel.

Q: What items are taxable?
A: All time and mileage charges associated with your rental are taxable as well as billings for tolls, parking etc.

Q: Am I responsible for damages to the car?
A: On a chauffeur drive rental, our chauffeur is responsible for the car, not you.

Q: What are night charges?
A: When taking an out of town trip the driver is entitled to allowances for meals and hotel lodging. There are referred to a driver retention charges. Please ask one of our customer service agents for our current overnight charge.

Q: How do I contact my driver?
A: When you driver first introduces himself, he will hand you his card which has his name, mobile number and car number on it for you reference. If you leave the car for some time to attend a meeting of go shopping, you can call the driver using your Budget mobile phone to come and pick you up at the pre-arranged pick up point.

Q: Do you accept debit cards?
A: Yes, if you are returning the car to one of our locations, we can accept your debit card. If your rental terminates elsewhere, we can only accept a credit card as final payment.

Q: Is there a charge for pick up in the city?
A: No, there are no additional charges for pick ups in the city, your time and kilometers are based on the distance and time from our dispatch garage back to our dispatch garage.

Q: How are my charges computed?
A: The total mileage and time for your rental is calculated from our dispatch garage and back, plus any parking charges, tolls or interstate fees.

Q: What is an airport transfer?
A: This service provides transportation to and from your hotel or place of lodging. Our flat rates and experienced drivers give you the comfort and security you are seeking when arriving in Vietnam.

Q: Can I request the same car for multiple days?
A: Yes, we will make every effort to provide you with the same car for multiple day rentals.

Q: Will your driver be able to point out or take me to various points of interest?
A: Yes, our drivers are experienced and know the city they are traveling very well. Your driver will try to be as unobtrusive as possible, but if you want him to point things out to you, please don't hesitate to ask him to do so.

Q: Will I have to provide directions to my hotel to the driver?
A: No, your driver will be told of your travel plans before he leaves our office and he will confirm the same with you when he meets you. No need to carry directions to a hotel. If your destination is a private residence or business, please ask for a landmark to assist your driver in finding it for you.

Q: Will my driver be in uniform?
A: Yes, Budget drivers are dressed in a distinctive Budget uniform.

Q: All the cars you show in your website are unknown to me, how do I know which to choose?
A: Use the luggage and seating capacity and pictures as a guide and choose a car that is big enough for you and your party to be comfortable in.

Q: Are all your cars air-conditioned?
A: Yes, all have air-conditioning, central locking and CD players for you comfort, safety and enjoyment.

Q: If I book and prepay, is there a cancellation charge?
A: Reservations can be cancelled with 24 hours notice of the pick up time with no charge whatsoever. Cancelations with less that 24 hrs notice will have a charge equal to 50% of the booking quote up to a maximum of USD$200.

Q: Do you offer self-drive cars?

Q: Can I get a chauffuer driven car for longer periods?
A: Yes, for periods of multiple weeks or a month or more, please send an inquiry to info@budget.com.vn. Long term cars are available with and without chauffeurs.

Q: Do I need to consider additional insurance for the car?
A: No, all coverages for a chauffuer driven car are included in the rental.

Q: What if I book for a half day or a one day rental and need the car longer?
A: No problem, just call a customer service agent and let them know you wish to extend your booking. If your plans are not firm we can accommodate your changing needs.

Q: What is an "outstation trip"?
A: This is when you need a car to leave the city (i.e. travel from one city to another). These types of trips are mileage based and may be as short as a one day round trip of multiple days or multiple cities.

Q: Can I book a car to pick me up in one city and drop me in another?

Q: How are any additional hours or kilometer charges calculated?
A: There is a 20 minute grace period before an additional hour is charged. Kilometers are calculated on the entire trip and additional kilometers are charged above what was included in the tariff plan you booked. Both the additional hours and additional kilometers are shown in the rate display when you book your car.
